Casa 89 - your home from home

Casa 89 is in the stunning El Rio complex, a small development of 74 townhouse style villas amongst beautifully maintained sub-tropical gardens. The house benefits from its own private garden and beeyond the garden, via one of the secure entrance gates you will find a large 'meadow' area which is ideal for children to play away from the pools and internal grounds.

Broadband access can be arranged for the duration of your stay. Costs vary depending on length of stay and whether or not you want restricted or un-restricted bandwidth. As an example, unrestricted access 24/7 for a month costs about £90.
Mobile phone reception in the house and the whole area is excellent with 3G & 3.5G voice/data access. Make certain your phone can be used abroad.

Ground Floor

A Covered Entrance Porch accesses the security front door into, Entrance Hall with Cloaks & WC on the right, Intercom/remote gate unlock system to the left. The spacious Kitchen with Utility Room off, is to the left and the Staircase & storage on the right. The very spacious Living/Dining room is straight ahead.

The Kitchen provides a spacious area with modern units and granite work-tops and plinths. Fully equipped for those guests wishing to prepare 'gourmet' food, or equally useful for preparing an aperitif for those of us who don't like to cook on holiday! The separate Utility Room houses a washing machine, separate dryer, boiler, vacuum-cleaner, brushes, ironing board etc.

Living/Dining room Almost 7 metres square, this room is tastefully furnished and has patio doors onto the terrace/garden where you will find the outside dining table (6-8 people) & gas BBQ.

Private Garden Whilst the communal gardens are tended by a small team of gardeners employed by the 'community' our private garden is looked after by our own gardener Paco. He visits the garden about 3 times per week depending on the season to mow the small lawn area and tend to the plethora of different plants including the beautiful Bouganvilla and sweet smelling Dama de la Noche. Paco will also sweep up and hose down the patio area on his short visits and irrigate the borders and lawn.

The Master Bedroom is particularly spacious and it boasts an En-suite bathroom, with basin, bath/power-shower, WC & bidet. The large external balcony offers open views across the meadow area; mountains to the right and towards the sea to the left (NOTE: sea 'glimpses' are possible at some times of the year, but generally it is wholly obscured by the large trees at the end of the meadow area). You do however benefit from the gentle sea breezes which are very welcome in the hotter months. The Master bedroom will easily accommodate a cot without restricting your space, or indeed the single 'stow-away' bed from bedroom 3. Numerous wardrobes are provided for the longest of stays, along with a chest of drawers and a dressing table!

Bedroom 2 is arranged as a double room with generous wardrobe/draw provision.

Bedroom 3 is arranged with a single bed (day-bed style) and the addition of either another single bed (which can stow-away under the day bed if not required) OR a Cot bed. So, that's 2 x singles or 1 single + a cot. Once again it has plenty of wardrobe/draw space.

Swimming Pools, this is one of five 'freeform' swimming pools within the grounds, including two children's pools, which are maintained to the highest standards.

HOUSE & SECURITY

Make no mistake this region is very safe for your family holidays, but it is also an area with much wealth and that is always going to present 'opportunities' for some less desirable visitors! The complex is secure and Azalea Beach is patrolled by security 24 hours a day. Every window in the property has either roll-down shutters or decorative 'Andalusian style' iron bars; so as long as you remember to put the shutters down when you leave the house all will be secure! The house also has a sophisticated digital safe set in reinforced concrete in which you can put any valuables, passports documents etc. Better to be safe than sorry!

PREPARING THE HOUSE FOR YOUR VISIT

The property is looked after by a long established professional management company headed by Ana Dunabeitia and her team of capable 'maids'. Before your arrival the house will be cleaned and beds made up. For longer stays over 14 nights an interim maid service will be included. We can also arrange additional visits for cleaning etc. at additional cost. If you are arriving late and would like a basic 'shopping pack' of bread, milk, preserves, water etc. to be put in the house this can also be arranged for a charge.

In the unlikely event that you have any problems with the house during your stay, Ana and her main assistant Adela are only 5 minutes away and can be contacted during office hours. They both speak excellent English!
